Fall Cleaning

My mother used to tell us that spring cleaning was more than cleaning the house, it was cleansing your soul. And so I feel the same way about August or Fall Cleaning. It time again to get out the cleaning rags and give your computer the once over.

1. Throw away any documents that you don't know what they are or have no reason to keep them.
2. Run Spybot on your computer to clean out the spyware you have unknowingly accumulated.
3. Run Disk Cleanup to get rid of all the temporary files which have accumulated.
4. Go through your list of Favorites and delete any that don't work or you don't need anymore.
5. Go to Add/Remove Programs and remove any program you no longer use.
6. Now that the inside is tidy, what about the outside? Turn your keyboard upside down and shake it out. You'll be amazed at what comes out.
7. Get a can of pressurized air and blow out the inside of your desktop computer. (Take it outside to do this PLEASE.)
8. Spray an old T-shirt with a window cleaner and then wipe your monitor clean.
9. Wipe away any fingerprints on the keyboard, mouse or outside of the monitor with a soft cloth and soapy water.
10. Put an air freshener next to your computer which makes you relax. Trust me it helps.
