I was having a conversation with a client of mine today and we were talking about how difficult things are becoming in the computer world. Her comment to me was "how do people get along without someone like you Denise?" While I admit I was flattered I realized that most people do not have someone (like me) to answer questions that plague the computer world. I proceeded to explain to her that my vision of the ideal computer would be one similar to a touch screen pad that the waiters use at restaurants these days. Touch here... touch there... and voila you are having fun. While most computer softare companies have turned to multi-function programs (software that contains 2 or more different programs in one package), I feel this will ultimately be there demise. K.I.S.S. is still the best method for selling software. If I need a program to type a letter with, I don't really want or need programs that do other things like spreadsheets, slideshows and email. Could you image what your refridgerator would look like if we had to buy multi-function groceries?
