This past year has been exceptionally hard here in the desert...at least for me... the truth is I have lost alot of clients who I would really call friends.
As a computer geek in the Coachella Valley, my job sometimes takes me into homes where a spouse has passed on and the other spouse is left with the overwhelming task of changing over checking accounts, AOL Accounts, paying bills and figuring out passwords, some of which they have never had to do before.
On one hand, computers and technology complicate these tasks for many who have little or no computer experience.
But on the other hand, I find that the computer becomes a friend to them whether it be through playing solitaire during the early morning hours when they can't sleep or simply writing emails to friends and family.
